Need help with your negative checking account balance? We understand that everyone falls on hard times sometimes, which is why we offer a special Fresh Start Loan to cover the negative balance in your checking account for up to $1,000, for up to six months.
Your checking account can remain open with a Fresh Start Loan established, as long as you have direct deposit of your paycheck. Overdraft Privilege (ODP) is removed when a Fresh Start Loan is established. Once the balance is paid in full and after 90 days, you can request the checking account and/or ODP be reinstated on your account.
Specific payment and balance obligations are required to keep your accounts open and to retain your credit union privileges.
Credit Rebuilder Loan
If collections or past due debt have prevented you from obtaining a loan, Educators Credit Union’s Credit Rebuilder Loan can help. It’s not just a loan, but a program that gets you back on the right track toward meeting your long-term goals.
We start by looking at your credit score, then we find the root of your debt and show you the right ways to rebuild your credit so you can prosper in the future.
If you are not an Educators member or if the primary member cannot sign on a loan, you may be required to establish a new account. Educators Credit Union membership is open to anyone who works or lives in our 11-county service area.
