Saver’s Sweepstakes® is a prize-based savings account created by The Wisconsin Credit Union League with help from several credit unions across the state. Members earn entries into the sweepstakes for every $25 saved each month. They can receive up to six entries monthly. For full entry rules and information, visit ecu.com/savers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Educators Credit Union and the Wisconsin Credit Union League have teamed up to offer a prize-based savings program.

The Saver’s Sweepstakes account is great because:

  • It will improve your saving habits in a new fun way.
  • Unlike lotteries, you don’t lose by playing.
  • The more you save, the more chances to win.

At the end of the month, we will see how much money you saved in the Saver’s Sweepstakes account and use that total to determine how many sweepstakes entries you’ve earned.

  • For every $25 you saved, you will earn one Saver’s Sweepstakes entry (up to six entries).
  • You can accumulate up to 6 entries per month, 18 entries per quarter, and 72 entries per year for the annual grand prize.

The Wisconsin Credit Union League will help us pick a winner. Months winners get $100, quarterly winners are $1,000, and the grand prize is $5,000. Winners will be notified on the first business day after the 15th of every month by phone or email.

By saving money in your Saver’s Sweepstakes account, you earn entries into monthly, quarterly and yearly drawings.

  • Earn one entry for every $25 you save each month.
  • You can earn a maximum of six entries a month.
  • Prizes are $100 monthly, $1,000 quarterly and a $5,000 yearly grand prize.
  • If you close the account or the account is closed due to a withdrawal, you will forfeit all of your entries, and you cannot reopen a Saver’s Sweepstakes account for 90 days.

You can earn Educators Credit Union Saver’s Sweepstakes entries just by setting aside as little as $25 each month!

  • You get one entry for every $25 you save in the Saver’s Sweepstakes account each month.
  • Winners will be notified on the 18th or 19th of every month.
    • Each month, there will be a $100 drawing.
    • Each quarter, there will be a $1,000 drawing.
    • Each year, there will be a $5,000 drawing.
  • You can earn up to six entries monthly, 18 entries every quarter and 72 entries for the grand prize.
  • The final number we use is based on how much money you saved from the first of the month. Withdrawals can affect the number of entries earned.
    • Withdrawals can affect the number of entries for the monthly, quarterly, and yearly drawings.
  • Closing your account will result in the forfeiture of your entries.

1This sweepstakes is open to Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota residents only. Entries are tallied for the primary owner on the account. fiduciary and business accounts are not eligible. Each individual — limited by social security number — can have a maximum of six entries per month, 18 entries per quarter and 72 entries per year in educators credit union drawings. Entries are earned based on month-over-month increases in the saver’s sweepstakes account balance. Chances of winning are determined by the number of total entries per drawing. The drawings are conducted on a statewide basis. Account withdrawal could impact your total number of entries. A closed account will result in the forfeiture of all sweepstakes entries. Other restrictions may apply. This disclosure may be updated from time to time, and if it is updated, account holders will receive a notice of updated disclosure as well as the effective date of the updates as required by law. Only one saver’s sweepstakes account can be opened per social security number. 2When any withdrawal is made, the primary account holder forfeits saver’s sweepstakes prize drawing entries for that prize pool to the extent that the account balance decreases month-over-month. For example, if a member deposits $25 in a month, but then withdraws $5, the balance won’t increase enough to earn a drawing entry. 3APY= annual percentage yield. The rate may change after the account is opened. The rate is accurate as of August 1, 2026. There is no minimum deposit required to open a saver’s sweepstakes account.
