How do I open a checking account?

If you are a new member, you can open your new account online or you can visit any Educators Credit Union branch for assistance.

If you already have a Prime Share Savings account and would like to add a checking, please visit any branch location or call us at (262) 886-5900 for assistance.

How much do checks cost?

The amount for check orders varies. Please visit log into your online banking account and visit the Check Services page (found under Accounts) and choose the Reorder Checks Tab (choose Order Checks).

How do I deposit a check using FlashCash?

Easy! Follow the steps below to deposit your check with FlashCash:

  • Login to the Mobile App, select FlashCash
  • Review, then accept the disclosure
  • Select your Deposit Account
  • Review your check to make sure it’s filled out completely
  • Endorse the back of your check with “For Mobile Deposit to Educators Credit Union Only”
  • Make sure the check is legible and wrinkle-free
  • Place the check on a flat, solid-colored surface in a well-lit area
  • Tap the Take Photos option on the check icons to capture both sides of your check
  • Center the check inside the box to take the photo automatically
  • Manually enter the check amount if the picture did not display all of the details
  • Review any warnings displaying
  • Tap Submit when you’re finished to complete your deposit
  • A confirmation screen appears to confirm the deposit was accepted and displays it in the transaction history

Is Overdraft Privilege available on a checking account?

Yes, Overdraft Privilege is available on a checking account, but some restrictions may apply. Refer to our Overdraft Privilege Policy for more information.
