Continuing with the online application will open a new account bundle with a prime share savings, checking, and change up savings. If you just need to open a share or add a checking to an existing account, you can apply virtually.

Here's What You Need to Join
Online or In-Person

At this time, business accounts cannot be opened online. Visit a branch location to open a business account today.

  • Your Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN).
  • A digital photo of your current, unexpired state-issued driver’s license, state-issued ID or passport with your current address.
  • Proof of address is needed if it’s different than the address listed on your ID. Proof of address can be on a statement from another financial, utility bill, government document, etc.
  • A $5 minimum deposit to open your Prime Share Savings, and/or a $20 minimum deposit to open your checking account.

If one of these situations apply to you, please visit any Educators Credit Union branch to apply for membership:

  • You are under the age of 18.
  • You are opening a fiduciary account. (Fiduciary accounts include trust accounts, custodial accounts, guardianship accounts, representative payee accounts, funeral trust accounts, estate accounts and Coverdell Educational Savings (ESA) Accounts.)
  • You want to open a business account.

  • Proof of address is needed if it’s different than the address listed on your ID. Proof of address can be on a statement from another financial, utility bill, government document, etc.
  • A $5 minimum deposit to open your Prime Share Savings, and/or a $20 minimum deposit to open your checking account.
  • If you are under the age of 18, you will need a state-issued ID, passport, or current school ID and address verification from a parent or guardian.
