Happy International Credit Union Day 2025®!

October 16 is International Credit Union Day! This year’s theme is “Cooperation for a Prosperous World,” celebrating the way that credit unions work together to create prosperity for our members.
A GLOBAL EFFORT
Did you know? Across the globe, there are more than 74,000 credit unions and an astonishing 411 million members in total. That’s 411 million people who:
- Are member-owners of their financial institution.
- Benefit from lower rates and fees because profits are given back to members.
- Belong to an organization that gives back to their community.
The power of a cooperative can’t be overstated. When we join together to lift each other up, we all reap the rewards of a prosperous world.
PROSPERITY THROUGH SERVICE
At Educators, our vision is to advocate for and empower our community. We take this commitment seriously by serving our members and the places that we call home. Here are a few of the ways we give back to our members and southeast Wisconsin:
- Making free financial literacy available for all ages through programs like Reality Check Days, Zogo1, Greenpath, and more.
- Providing over $700,000 in sponsorships and donations to local organizations in 2024.
- Volunteering at community events that provide fun and free spaces for families.
- Offering programs like Member Loyalty that reward loyal members for using their account.
For us, giving back isn’t just something we do to look good. We view it as our responsibility and honor to empower our members and neighbors so we can create the prosperous world we all strive to achieve.
1Zogo is for everyone ages 13 and up.
