Educators Credit Union Teams Up with Burlington High School to Boost Students’ Financial Future

Burlington, WI, October 6, 2026 – October 5 was the grand opening date for Burlington High School’s (BHS) first financial branch, supported and brought to life in partnership with Educators Credit Union! They built this branch inside the school cafeteria from the ground up to give teens a safe place to learn how to spend and save as they prepare for life after high school.
“At BHS we work hard to provide our students with experience and opportunities that prepare them for life after high school,” said Amy Levonian, Principal of BHS. “Our goal is to help make that transition as seamless and successful as possible. Having a credit union right here in our school is another example of that commitment. It gives students an opportunity to experience financial concepts in a real-world setting and develop skills that will serve them well.”
What can students and faculty do at this branch?
Following the branch’s opening, students and faculty will be able to conduct traditional teller transactions. They can withdraw and deposit money, receive their very own co-branded Burlington Demons debit card, utilize a plethora of free personal finance resources and much more.
“We’re so excited to open a branch within Burlington High School and provide resources that support both educators in the classroom and students as they prepare for their futures,” said Educators’ Member Education and Outreach Representative, Emily Romeril. “Together, we’ll help students build confidence in personal finance and start their financial journeys off on the right foot.”
Additionally, students can open Student Accounts with Educators Credit Union, participate in rewarding games that promote financial education and more. Two Youth Apprentices (YAs) will staff the branch. Educators hired these BHS students to help them build professional skills for their future careers.
With the guidance of a trained Educators staff member, these two YAs will operate the high school branch during lunch hours as well as the Burlington branch on Falcon Ridge Drive throughout the week.
Educators Credit Union has six additional high school branches. They are located inside South Milwaukee High School, Hamilton High School, Bradford High School, Case High School, Park High School, and Horlick High School.
