What is Debt Dragon?

Educators Credit Union is proud to offer free access to the beta test version of Debt Dragon. We have partnered with Filene Research Institute and Credit Union Student Choice to help college students and families develop a better understanding of key financial decisions related to their college experience. Debt Dragon seeks to help students gain knowledge about critical decisions such as selecting a school that is a good fit personally and financially, maximizing scholarships and grants, reducing the total amount of student loans that may be needed, and preparing for repaying student loans after graduation.

About Credit Union Student Choice

Student Choice was formed in 2008 when several leading credit unions and credit union service organizations (CUSOs) took a hard look at private student lending in America and believed they could work together to provide a better solution to help students and families pay for college. Credit Union Student Choice was born out of that mission, and today hundreds of credit unions have partnered with Student Choice to offer innovative private student lending and student loan refinance programs paired with key financial wellness content that focus on people before profits.
