As we approach Educators’ 83rd Annual Meeting, we take the time to reflect on this past year and look to avenues to support our members moving forward. We have all faced challenges this past year with the pandemic, with the economy and with issues surrounding social justice.
Members who are in need due to economic distress caused by COVID-19 or the difficult economy can reach out to us and we’ll help on a case-by-case basis. We also strive to be available to help a community dealing with the weight of racism.
Educators Credit Union believes in the power of diversity and inclusion. We were founded on the idea of people helping people. With the prevalence of systemic racism, Educators is compelled to work with our Black communities to create an equitable society that is fair for all.
Although we do not have all the answers, we are committed to continuing to be part of the solution, and we challenge our staff and members to do the same. We believe that we are stronger together, and we must stand with our communities of color and advocate for racial equality.
