Creating Happy Moments Today, Savings for Tomorrow

Educators Credit Union thinks we could all use a few more happy moments in life. To help, we’re making it even easier to win the Saver’s Sweepstakes1!

As of April 1, we are making some big changes:

  • For every $25 you save, you’ll earn two entries into the sweepstakes through July. During this time, you can earn up to 12 entries each month.
  • More entries mean more chances for bigger prizes. The entries you earn will go towards the $100, $1,000 drawing (in June and September) and the $5,000 grand prize drawing.

This sweepstakes is open to Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota residents only. Entries are tallied for the primary owner on the account. Fiduciary and business accounts are not eligible. Each individual — limited by social security number — can have a maximum of six entries per month, 18 entries per quarter and 72 entries per year in Educators Credit Union drawings. From April 1, 2020 until July, 31 2020, members can earn two entries for every $25 deposit, up to 12 entries per month. Those entries will go towards the monthly, quarterly and annual drawings. Entries are earned based on month-over-month increases in the Saver’s Sweepstakes account balance. Chances of winning are determined by the number of total entries per drawing. The drawings are conducted on a statewide basis. The account is subject to a $10 withdrawal penalty with your first and second withdrawal from the account. The account will be closed after your third withdrawal. The credit union waives the early withdrawal penalty in the first seven days after a Saver’s Sweepstakes account is opened. Fees could reduce earnings. Account withdrawal could impact your total number of entries. A closed account will result in the forfeiture of all sweepstakes entries. To the extent the early withdrawal penalties previously disclosed are not imposed for any reason, this savings account is also subject to the withdrawal & transfer limits of the Federal Reserve’s Regulation D. During any statement period, you may not make more than six withdrawals or transfers to another credit union account of yours or to a third party by means of a preauthorized or automatic transfer or telephonic order or instructions. Participants can make a penalty-free withdrawal from the account on the 12th month after the account is opened and every 12 months thereafter. Other restrictions may apply. This disclosure may be updated from time to time, and if it is updated, account holders will receive a notice of updated disclosure as well as the effective date of the updates as required by law.

  1. Thanks to Amanda Patmore for outstanding service in replacing my credit card so efficiently.

  2. Is it possible to set up an automatic transfer from our checking to the Saver’s account? I couldn’t find that information and the drive-up teller wasn’t sure of the answer. Thank you

    1. Hello CherylAnn,
Yes, you can do this in Online Banking. First, go to the Transfers icon on the left-hand side of the page. Then open the Classic tab. Select the account you want to transfer from and to, then enter the amount. Before you hit Submit, there’s a field to set a recurring transfer. Select whichever frequency you’d like and hit submit!
