Family Friendly Movies Are Streaming

Because your local theaters are closed, movies are moving to digital instead! We put together a full list of new(er) releases that you can watch from the comfort of your home. In this two-part list, we start with movies that are fun for the whole family.

Some of these titles will be available for free on Netflix, Hulu or Disney+. Others will be available to rent on services like iTunes, Google Play and Amazon Prime Video.

“Frozen II” Rated: PG

The Frozen sequel has been in theaters since 2019, but Disney is bringing it to Disney+ early. Frozen II picks up the story of sisters Elsa and Anna. Elsa is still trying to learn to cope with her magical powers. She takes a journey into the enchanted forests and dark seas beyond her kingdom to learn more about herself.

“Onward” Rated: PG

Pixar’s newest movie hit theaters on March 6. After a short time in theaters, Disney moved it to digital for all to enjoy. Right now, it’s only for rent, but it’ll be available for free on April 3 on Disney+. Onward is a tale about a pair of brothers going on a magical quest to get more time with their father.

“Trolls World Tour” Rated: PG

Trolls World Tour was set to be released on April 10. Now, it’ll be available digitally on the same day! You can download it on a video on demand streaming service to rent for 48 hours after the release date.

“Sonic the Hedgehog” Rated: PG

Sonic has been in theaters for a little less than two months. The superfast video game character can be rented at home. The movie features Sonic taking flight from the evil Dr. Robotnik, who wants to use the hedgehog’s powers for world domination.
