Introducing the Educators Credit Union cash back Visa® Signature Card!

Educators Credit Union asked members what they want out of their credit card, and we heard them loud and clear: cash back. So now, we are giving you what you asked for!

With the new Educators Visa® Signature Card, members get 1.5% unlimited cash back on all purchases! But the benefits of this card don’t stop there.

  • The Visa Signature Card’s low variable rate starts as low as 11.75%*.
  • Avoid paying more just for having a card. With the Visa Signature Card, members pay no annual fees, balance transfer fees or foreign transaction fees.
  • Cardholders can use a skip-a-payment option available each January.
  • Protect your cell phone when paying your mobile bill with the Signature Card. This added protection covers $250 in theft or damages with a $50 deductible.
  • Trip cancellation/interruption coverage up to $2,000 when you buy your trip with the Visa Signature Card.
  • Car rental coverage that protects you from damage due to collision or theft.
  • Cardholders can enroll in a pay-per-use roadside assistance program.
  • Zero member liability that protects you from unauthorized card use.

Those are just some of the great benefits of having the Educators Visa Signature Card. To apply, click this link to the online application, call 800.236.5898 or visit any Educators branch.

    1. Hi Keith,

It is a credit card! If you have any other questions, feel free to stop by a branch or contact our member service team at 262.886.5900

    1. Hi Joe,

You would have to reapply for this card since it is a different type of Visa Credit Card. We would have to pull your credit again as well unless you have opened a loan account within the last 90 days with us.

      Thanks,

      Emily

  1. I assume the cash back replaces the Points for Perks on the current card. Will current Visa card holders be automatically switched to the Signature card?

    1. Hi Carla,

The cash back does replace the points for perks, however, this would be a completely different card than your normal Visa Gold or Platinum. You would not be switched over automatically and we would need to pull your credit to apply.

      Thanks for the question!

  2. Do you run credit report?I’m offered all of these offers to get credit but wish to move slowly can educators help me?

    1. Hi Brian,

We would have to run your credit for approval for the card. However, to check to see if you would be eligible, we can soft-pull your credit first which would not be reflected in your credit score. One of our MFR’s could help you make the best decision for your overall financial wellness based on your soft-pulled credit report.

Please stop by a branch or call into our help line if you would like to start this process.

      Thanks,

      Emily

  3. What is the advantage of this card over my current ECU Visa card? Also, are there different tiers of cards (gold, platinum, etc).?

    1. Hi Claudia,

The advantage of this card include the 1.5% cash back on all purchases which is transferred quarterly into your special savings share. We do not offer that feature on any other card. There are also a few other card benefits (listed above) that our other cards do not currently have. The different cards that we offer don’t necessarily go into a “tier” but each card has its own unique benefits.

Please feel free to stop into a branch to discuss the differences!

  4. Does the ECU signature card also include the additional Visa Signature benefits, such as warranty manager service?

    1. Hi Claire, if you would like to stop in at a branch or give us a call at 262.886.5900 we can work on this together.

  5. Would I then have 2 VISA credit cards from ECU – the Platinum card and the signature card? Do I need to cancel one to have the other?

    1. Hi Jane! You can have both credit cards opened if you would like! However, you can not have multiple of the same type of cards. If you have any other questions, please feel free to call into our Member Response team at 262.886.5900 or stop into any of our branch locations!
