      You would have to reapply for this card since it is a different type of Visa Credit Card. We would have to pull your credit again as well unless you have opened a loan account within the last 90 days with us.



  1. I assume the cash back replaces the Points for Perks on the current card. Will current Visa card holders be automatically switched to the Signature card?

    1. Hi Carla,

      The cash back does replace the points for perks, however, this would be a completely different card than your normal Visa Gold or Platinum. You would not be switched over automatically and we would need to pull your credit to apply.

  2. Do you run credit report?I’m offered all of these offers to get credit but wish to move slowly can educators help me?

    1. Hi Brian,

      We would have to run your credit for approval for the card. However, to check to see if you would be eligible, we can soft-pull your credit first which would not be reflected in your credit score. One of our MFR’s could help you make the best decision for your overall financial wellness based on your soft-pulled credit report.

  3. What is the advantage of this card over my current ECU Visa card? Also, are there different tiers of cards (gold, platinum, etc).?

    1. Hi Claudia,

      The advantage of this card include the 1.5% cash back on all purchases which is transferred quarterly into your special savings share. We do not offer that feature on any other card. There are also a few other card benefits (listed above) that our other cards do not currently have. The different cards that we offer don’t necessarily go into a “tier” but each card has its own unique benefits.

  4. Does the ECU signature card also include the additional Visa Signature benefits, such as warranty manager service?

  5. Would I then have 2 VISA credit cards from ECU – the Platinum card and the signature card? Do I need to cancel one to have the other?
