80 for 80 Years: Part Six (Items 26-30)

We’ve had a busy 2017!  In celebration of our 80th anniversary, we’ve put together a blog series highlighting 80 different products, services, events, giveaways and sponsorships that took place in 2017. 26. Buddy Bench Sponsor – In 2017, Educators continued its sponsorship of the Scherrer Cares Buddy Bench Program. A Buddy Bench is a place for kids to go if they are being bullied and need help. It’s also a place for kids to be a buddy to their peers by spreading kindness and building friendships.

27. Pleasant Prairie branch – In February 2017, Educators opened its very first branch in Pleasant Prairie to better serve the community in Kenosha County. On Wednesday, Aug. 2, the Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce gave the Pleasant Prairie branch its annual Kenosha County Beatification Award. This award is given to an organization that has done something to improve the area visually.

28. River Bend Nature Center Pancake Days – Educators staff was on hand to serve food for the River Bend Nature Center Pancake Day.

29. Chip Cards – To better protect our members against fraud, Educators now offers EMV chip cards. These cards are safer than standard debit or credit cards.

30. Reality Check Days – Educators sponsors and staffs Reality Check Day at high schools throughout southeastern Wisconsin. To learn the ins and outs of what the day entails, check out this blog post.
