Gene Day

Become involved in the community and help us

CG

It was Eugene Szymczak’s (former CEO and President of Educators) specific request that his passing not be marked with a formal service but by giving back to the community. On Saturday, May 20, Educators will be celebrating his life with a non-profit expo at Gateway Technical College in Racine. We invite you to come and learn how you can give back to the community and organizations that meant the most to him.

The schedule is as follows:

  • 10:00-11:00 a.m. Non-Profit Expo at Gateway
(1001 S. Main Street, SC Johnson Student Life Center)
See how you can become involved in the community.
  • 11:15 a.m. Ribbon Cutting at Samuel Myers Park
Walk over with us for a ribbon cutting by the Eugene Szymczak bench.

If you are unable to attend, we encourage you to give back to an organization Gene was passionate about: Racine Kid’s First, YMCA Leadership Academy, Racine Community Foundation and the United Way of Racine County, or one that you deeply care about.

We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.

– Winston S. Churchill
