A Glimpse at our 2016 Events

Once again, 2016 has been a busy year for the credit union full of lots of different community events. You may have visited one of our community shred days, which we held at every one of our branches at least once this year, but here are some other fun things that took place this summer.

This year, we held our Brewers game in early May on a special day that provided free food for kids and the opportunity for them to run the bases after the game. Speaking of baseball, we continued our partnership with the Kenosha Kingfish, sponsoring their Teacher Appreciation Night and Piggy Bank giveaway in which kids raced to collect 1000 quarters that had been scattered on the infield.

This summer was very busy near our Prospect Avenue branch where Summer Soulstice had a stage right outside the branch on North Avenue. Later, we once again sponsored the Tomato Romp and offered a cleanup station for those that battled in the tomato fight. The following weekend was very busy as the branch was part of Doors Open Milwaukee, allowing anyone who visited the opportunity to check out our rooftop garden. That weekend also was the grand opening of the new Black Cat Alley, which we were proud to help sponsor.

While the year is winding down, there are still a few more fun events that we are looking forward to. October 11th-15th is the Educators and AutoWerks Auto Fall Event in Sturtevant. AutoWerks final car sale of the year will display 70+ late model vehicles at the lowest prices of the year. If you stop in during the event, you can enter a drawing for a 48-inch Samsung Smart TV.

At the end of November, we are looking forward to riding down to Chicago with a limited number of members for our Chicago Shopping Trip to Water Tower Place. Registration for the event is $25 for person and includes round-trip motor coach service and tip.

Finally, we have received word from the North Pole that Santa Claus will be returning to our branches again during select days in December for free photo opportunities and for kids to share their holiday wishes with. Check our website in November for more information on dates, times and locations for Santa at Educators Credit Union.
