Educators honors scholarship winners

Educators Credit Union has selected 25 outstanding high school seniors to receive $1,500 scholarships.

Almost 300 applications were received by the March 15 deadline. Applicants were judged on academic achievements, community service and demonstration of one or more of Educators Credit Union’s core values.

The scholarship recipients were honored at a reception June 11 at the Oak Creek Community Center.

The 2015 winners are:

Arian Albert: Arian is graduating from Whitefish Bay High School and will be attending the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Her career goal is to be a biotechnical engineer in medicine. She is the daughter of Craig Albert and Lisa Fabian-Albert.

Rebecca Bixler: Rebecca is graduating from St. Catherine’s High School in Racine and will be attending Marquette University. Her career goal is to be a pathologist. She is the daughter of Kathleen Bixler and the late Curt Bixler.

Brittany Dobrowski: Brittany is graduating from Horlick High School in Racine and will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. Her career goal is to be an equine veterinarian. She is the daughter of Ronald and Michelle Dobrowski.

Erika Hauser-Smetana: Erika is graduating from Horlick High School in Racine and plans on attending the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Her career goal is in speech-language pathology. She is the daughter of Steve and Evelyn Smetana.

Michael Kaun: Michael is graduating from Case High School in Racine and will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. His career goal is to be a financial advisor. He is the son of Amy and Dan Kaun.

Rebekah Kienzle: Rebekah is graduating from Case High School in Racine and will be attending the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Her career goal is to be a negotiator. She is the daughter of Paul Kienzle and Laura Kienzle.

Alexandria Knight: Alexandria is graduating from Burlington High School and plans on attending the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Her career goal is in education. She is the daughter of Penny Yanke.

Christopher Kozenski: Christopher is graduating from Walden III High School in Racine and will be attending the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. His career goal is to be a pharmacist. He is the son of Matthew and Laura Kozenski.

Abby Lash: Abby is graduating from Shoreland Lutheran High School in Somers and will be attending Martin Luther College. Her career goal is to be an early childhood educator. She is the daughter of Brian and Kim Lash.

Paige Lewellyn: Paige is graduating from Case High School in Racine and will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. Her career goal is to be holistic practitioner. She is the daughter of Debi and Scott Wood.

Aliliywa Mbise: Aliliywa is graduating from Walden III High School in Racine. She plans on attending Northern Illinois University, with a career goal of becoming a nurse. She is the daughter of Denise and Exaudh Mbise.

Regan McCauley: Regan is graduating from St. Catherine’s High School in Racine. She plans on attending the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Her career goal is to be a teacher. She is the daughter of David and Kimberly McCauley.

Isabel Monti: Isabel is graduating from Case High School in Racine and will be attending the University of Wisconsin in Madison. She will be studying human biology. She is the daughter of Brenda Torres and Joseph Monti.

Quynh Nguyen: Quynh is graduating from Waukesha South High School and will be attending the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Her career goal is to be a pediatrician. She is the daughter of Tony Tran.

Dominique Nunnally: Dominique is graduating from South Division High School and will be attending Wesleyan University in Connecticut. She is exploring options for her career. She is the daughter of June Nunnally.

Hailee Ollmann: Hailee is graduating from Oak Creek High School and will be attending Milwaukee Area Technical College. Her career goal is to be a dental hygienist. She is the daughter of Jack and Cheryl Ollmann.

Titilope Osisanlu: Titilope is graduating from Reagan College Prepatory High School in Milwaukee. She is planning on attending the University of Tulsa, where she will study to become a petroleum engineer. She is the daughter of Lola Osisanlu.

Roman Palvanov: Roman is graduating from The Prairie School in Racine. He will be attending the University of Wisconsin in Madison, where he will study chemical engineering. He is the son of Elena Olive.

Olivia Poelmann: Olivia is graduating from Case High School in Racine. She will be attending the University of Wisconsin in Madison. She will be studying human biology with a career goal of being a surgeon. She is the daughter of Kyle and DeAnna Poelmann.

Zachery Schultz: Zachery is graduating from Greendale High School and is planning on attending the University of Wisconsin in Madison, where he will study biology. His career goal is to be in oncology. He is the son of Amy Schultz.

Nicholas Shinners: Nicholas is graduating from Eisenhower High School in New Berlin and will be attending Columbia College in Chicago. His career goal is to be a television producer/writer. He is the son of Lori and Gerald Shinners.

Sydney Tisch: Sydney is graduating from Bradford High School in Kenosha and is planning on attending Pace University in New York City. Her career goal is to be a lawyer. She is the daughter of Dennis and Kate Tisch.

Jazmin Vargas: Jazmin is graduating from Alexander Hamilton High School in Milwaukee. She will be attending the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Her career goal is to be a physician assistant. She is the daughter of Veronica Najera.

Ariana Voyles: Ariana is graduating from Indian Trail High School in Kenosha and will be attending the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Her career goal is to be a nurse practitioner. She is the daughter of Terri Voyles.

Olivia Walleser: Olivia is graduating from Brookfield Central High School and will be attending Troy University. She will be studying global business management. She is the daughter of Kristine and Robert Walleser.
