Top 10 activities to pass the next six weeks of winter

February 2nd was groundhog’s day and, according to Punxsatawney Phil, we’ve got six more weeks of winter. I can already hear the cries, woes, and wishes for sunny beach days but unfortunately we can’t fast forward into summer. So here are a few fun things that will have you wanting the cool crisp air of a winter wonderland to stay a while.

10. Build a snowman/make a snow angel/go sledding

No matter how old you are, there is nothing like bundling up and making a good old-fashioned snowman or snow angel.

9. Take a nap

It’s like cashing in all those naps you refused as a child.

8. Have a snowball fight

Anyone remember this epic snowball fight?

7. Redecorate/reorganize your home

When it’s nice out, no one wants to stay in the house so how about getting all that organizing done when you have no other choice?

6. Ice Skating

Although I’ve never been, it’s on my list of things to do every winter.

5. Bake something

Fresh gooey chocolate chip cookies or maybe some fudge brownies can’t be beat.

4. Online Shopping

For me, online shopping is like Christmas with all the anticipation of waiting for your new product to arrive and then the joy of finally getting to use/wear it when it comes.

3. Catch up on your shows

If you are anything like me, you have a DVR full of shows that sounded interesting or looked good but haven’t had time to actually check it out. Now’s the perfect time!

2. Nap

Yes, I know it’s on the list twice. It’s because naps are just plain amazing!

1. Netflix/Hulu

When all is said and done you’re bound to find something good to keep you entertained on Netflix or Hulu. As of January 1st, all the seasons of “Friends” became available. (That’s enough to keep you entertained for days!)
