ITMs allow for expanded hours, face-to-face transactions
A new experience launched recently at our Sturtevant branch Interactive Teller Machines, or ITMs.
ITMs look a lot like ATMs, but they allow users to have a face-to-face conversation with an Educators teller. The ITM tellers are located offsite at a centralized location.
A camera on the ITM and at the teller location means you can see the teller and he or she will guide you through your transaction. Speakers allow you to talk to the teller handling the transaction.
The ITM technology and centralized location of tellers allows the credit union to better serve members with longer hours. Additionally, because tellers are not handling cash, the likelihood of robbery is significantly reduced.
ITMs will also be used in lobby when our new Center Street location in Milwaukee opens in the first quarter of 2015.
Members have been appreciative of the timeliness of the transactions, Bryan Davis, Center Street branch manager, said. There is excitement for the new technology while still having the convenience of speaking to an agent.
Transactions completed using the ITMs are treated the same as other transactions they are secure and are processed the same way, with accounts updated in real time.
In-lobby ITMs will have an available handset for additional privacy.
The ITM tellers can help guide you through your transaction and answer any questions about your account.
When you deposit a check, a reduced image of the check will appear on your receipt for your records.
